Riiiight....

Okay, Mrs. B.

I know. I know. I haven't been around in a while.

This has been me.

I haven't had a lot of ... get up and go lately, and so, here we are at the end of the month. I've written you 4 times (this will make 5.) But, sadly the spring spurt stopped almost immediately after it happened. Mostly.

The rest of my awake time has been spent cleaning when I haven't been working.

I've done little else. No real progress reading, no work on my stories, but I'm hoping that April will be a bit better for getting my act in gear.

Maybe, I can get myself more in the vein of this:

Time to be proactive.
If I can't get it done, I need to find someone who can help.

But, I will do my best to take care of it on my own:
If God's going to open a window, well then, I *will* take advantage of it!

Although, it helps to remember to take care of those people who help you out.
Ladies of my writing group, I owe you one.

I'm trying, Mrs. B.. But, I know I can't do it alone. I just need to get my act together.

Spring

So, Spring may have officially started yesterday, but I always think of today as the first day of Spring, mostly because today is my baby brother's birthday.

Happy Birthday, Shortman. I saved this piece of cake for you.

But, really, spring started kind of early around here. The warm temperatures brought out every other sign of spring over the last couple of weeks that I could name.

Birds:

Okay, so this was taken last year in Ireland, but I don't have a recent photo of our bunnies.... but I have every hope to see the teacup bunny again this year (more on him some other time).

Flowers:

::sighs:: Makes me long for an afternoon just staring up at the sky through the branches....

Turtles
(which I swear we have pics of somewhere, but just apparently not on my computer, so here's a different turtle picture:)

Imagine if you will a few of his friends hanging out on a log in a lake. Yeah. I'd rather have this turtle, too.

....and the guy on the musical bike that rides around the lake. (Gee, I wish I had a picture of this guy. He makes my day!)

Spring Cleaning of the Soul

I need to clean the cobwebs out of my creative life, Mrs. B. I think it may be time for a little spring cleaning. The winter has been dark and long and fallow -- last year, in fact was a creative year without a spring.

Yeah, this being my basement, I need to do more spring cleaning in all parts of my life

Reading Frenzy

Hi Mrs. B,

Alright. So, I've been having a bit of a ... reading frenzy. In the last week and a half I've finished quite a few books, which I hope I'll get around to talking about in the days to come. Part of me wonders when I'll come up for air and the other part is worried about what will happen to make it stop. It's been a while since I've been quite so... voracious.

I've missed this.

I'll post something more substantial in the next day or two, but in the meantime, Mrs. B., as you always said: "Keep reading!"
